where it all began
Highland Park Porchfest was founded in 2022 by a Highland Park resident, making it the first Porchfest in Chattanooga and the second in Tennessee.
The grassroots, community-led event brings FREE local music to the neighborhood. The festival transforms residential porches into stages where local musicians perform while neighbors and visitors stroll through the historic Highland Park streets.
Its success has paved the way for expansion inspiring similar Porchfest events in other Chattanooga neighborhoods and helping establish the city's porch music scene as part of a broader national movement.
